“I have noticed in the last 10 years that the refinement of the router lift has improved by leaps and bounds. When I rebuilt my tablesaw workstation in 2014, it was the perfect time to add a router lift to my shop. I started shopping and looked at every router lift on the market before I chose the Mast R Lift II. The main reasons I chose the JessEm was the overall quality of machined parts, the “one tool” design to raise, lower and lock the unit, and the versatility; the fact that it works with a variety of routers. I was able to choose the router I wanted and know that it would fit the lift perfectly.” ~ Allan Little, AskWoodMan
WHAT YOU GET
The JessEm Mast-R-Lift II comes with a 2″ insert ring to reduce the size of the bit opening in the plate and the opening is large enough to accommodate a 3-1/2″ diameter bit without an insert installed. In addition, all JessEm Lifts and Plates feature the unique Tab-Loc™ design insert rings. The Mast-R-Lift II is a precision piece of engineering that you will be proud to own and find use whenever you are in your work shop.
BALL BEARING CONSTRUCTION
Mast-R-Lift II has 5 double sealed bearings, 2 on the spindle and 3 on the cam lock. This provides a lifetime of use for your Lift and even with the heaviest router on the market your Lift can be raised and lowered with one finger.
“The one finger operation is NOT an exaggeration.” ~ Allan Little, AskWoodMan
CAM LOCK
The cam lock is a patented feature which adds tension to the threaded spindle to remove any backlash while adding some resistance to the rotation of the thread. This removes vibration from the thread clearance and also prevents the spindle from moving and changing your setting while routing. There is a dedicated locking mechanism for heavy duty long term routing operations.
“This was a huge feature for me. I liked the fact that the cam lock made it an absolute certainty that the router would not change position due to motor vibration. With the added plus, that the raising and lowering of the mechanism and the locking was done with the same tool. That is huge!” ~ Allan Little, AskWoodMan
CNC MACHINED
All the machined components on the Mast-R-Lift II are machined on one of their CNC machining centers . All the aluminum non wear components on the Lift are anodized for appearance, corrosion resistance and some wear resistance.
“You won’t see finer fit and finish than when you see this Mast R Lift II. It’s really, really impressive.” ~ Allan Little, AskWoodMan
NO DEDICATED ROUTER
Many woodworkers have more than one fixed base router. JessEm made sure that the Mast-R-Lift II fits every fixed base router on the market right out of the box.!
“I chose the Milwaukee 5625 and I couldn’t be happier. It comes with a fixed base that you can use if you want to take it out of the lift, so you have more options!” ~ Allan Little, AskWoodMan
